But, every little bit I learned was by "courageously" attending several sessions of a Saturday watercolor class with a very good instructor. A lot depends on the instructor. Sweet painting Bernard and you are brave to give watercolor a go. I respect watercolor artists, such a different way to work compared to oils. Have to give a lot more thought to your finished painting before you start don't you? Just lovely
Barb, Thank you. I kind of paint watercolors like they were really fast drying oils, except I keep in mind to paint light to dark, rather than dark to light. I got really lucky with this painting. I had a short deadline and didn't have time to think about it too much and that worked in my favor.

I'm so, so LOVING this painting! If I ever get brave enough to attempt watercolors I can only hope to interpret as well as you have.
